Shutzpolizei Protection Police Shako Helmet
Item: GM1524

Beautiful unissued 1936 pattern, Schutzpolizei, NCO’s Shako.  Made of a molded, black vulcan fibre body with a police green wool cover which has some minor moth nips. Visors are also vulcan fibre, no cracks or damage.  Stamped aluminum second pattern Police eagle to the front. The eagle shows crisp detailing and are very clean and bright.  The Shako has a stamped national tri-color cockade.  Present is the black leather chinstrap with two aluminum sliding buckles. The interior of the Shako has a nine finger tan leather liner.  It is still supple and the original leather tie string is intact. The crown of the Shako has the manufacturer's name and location, "Erel, Berlin" "Fiber-Tschako" "Robert Lubstein Berlin". Size marked 58. Included is the original cardboard form that fits into the helmet.  One of the finest examples I've had.
